Brown, black and purple are your colour choices for this perfect iPad sleeve (there’s even a Smart Cover compatible version). You can combine the leather with 4 lining colours (green, orange, yellow and aqua). The Joli Originals leather iPad sleeve is yours for 45 Euros (about $61) excluding tax and shipping. Joli Originals also makes this leather case for the iPhone and MacBook Air, in case you’re interested.
Sometimes iTunes doesn’t get iPhone or iPad software downloads right and you are stuck trying to update to the latest iOS. In this case you can turn to Apple’s manual download page and get things going again. Also useful if for some reason you want to downgrade your iOS.
Here’s a beautiful leather case to protect your iPad 2. The Elan Passport by Griffin comes in brown, camel and red for a decent $49.99 and with soft microsuede interior.
The Yoobao Executive Leather Case is one fine casing for the iPad 2! It’s all cow leather and works as a horizontal stand for the iPad too. You can find it at this shop for example for around 40 bucks of American currency.
Are you into felt at all? This is a nice case made from felt and leather for the iPad. It’s 85 Euros and doubles as a “stand”. The Tilt iPad Case is made by Hard Graft. If you prefer a cardboard cover, click this!
Not only for the iPhone, but for the iPad too did Apple release a ranking of the all-time paid and free apps. SoundHound, FlightTracker, BlocksClassic and GoodReader lead the field when paid iPad apps are concerned. Pandora (again), Movies by Flixster, Fandango Movies and Remote can be found among the top free apps on the iPad.
Owners of an iPhone 4, iPad or iPod touch (4th generation) are now eligible for Apple’s free “Find My iPhone” service. So in case you loose your iPhone you will be able to locate its position, send a text message or wipe out all your data. What you need is the latest iOS 4.2 on your favourite portable device and an Apple ID. You can use any browser or the free Find my iPhone app to access the service. Check out Apple’s step by step guide over here.
Another new and very useful feature of iOS 4.2 is quick search for web pages. If you are looking for a specific word on a web site you are viewing in Safari, simply type it into the standard search field (top right corner). You will get a list of results for the Internet as well as your current page. Scroll down to the end of the list “On This Page” and tap on “Find (whatever your search term is)”. Safari highlights the word in yellow and lets you jump to the next one. Apple gives you all the details in the official iOS 4.2 user guide (PDF download).
Finally Apple has released its big update for the iPad (and iPhone for that matter). It implements many long wished for features, such as music streaming (AirPlay) and printing. Thanks to AirPrint you can now access any printer shared by a Mac via WiFi to print e-mails, pictures, PDFs or web pages right on your iPad and iPhone. Just remember to activate printer sharing under “System Preferences” –> “Print & Fax” of your Mac. Your iOS device and Mac have to be connected to the same WLAN of course.
Our favourite Danish design company has just come up with an elegant stereo dock for the iPhone, iPod and iPad. The BeoSound 8 offers simple beautiful design and a material mix of aluminium and six fabric speaker covers in lavender blue, purple, green, yellow, black and white. There’s a USB Line-in and it comes with a remote control, table stand and wall bracket. No word on the price yet, but it will hurt!
With iOS 4.2 coming to iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 and iPad anytime soon, there are several great features to look forward to. One of them is AirPlay. AirPlay means you can now stream almost any audio source from your iPhone or iPad to an AirportExpress, Apple TV or a stereo supporting Apple’s new streaming standard. The relevant apps will let you set your iPhone or WLAN as output and start streaming. It works with links in Safari, YouTube, Radio apps… you name it. Video played with VLC on the iPhone is out of sync though at the moment.

Well, what more is there to say? I guess it’s all in the name: The Padacs Toccata Bluetooth Keyboard iPad Case is $69.95. The cover is leather, oh, and the keyboard battery lasts 45 hours once fully charged. Here is another nice iPad case but without a keyboard.
Known for their classic note taking products, Moleskine is now offering “two new hybrid tools” as they call it. The two paperback covers combine their traditional stylish paper notebooks with a protective case for the iPhone or iPad. Nice! No word on the price yet.
